St. Louis Children's Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce that an anonymous foundation has made a contribution of $214,000 toward the hospital's Pediatric Neurocritical Care Program (PNCP). The PNCP is the first of its kind in the United States, and is a major center of coordinated pediatric research, clinical care and rehabilitative therapies. The center is directed by Jose Pineda, MD, and is home to several research studies funded by the National Institutes for Health (NIH) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The PNCP has also been the recipient of funding from the Sean Glanvill Traumatic Brain Injury Research Foundation and will be the 2010 recipient of funds from the P.A.I.G.E. Foundation, in memory of Paige Suter.
Questions about the PNCP may be directed to Jeanne Gibbons, Officer of Corporate and Foundation Relations, St. Louis Children's Hospital Foundation, at jmgibbons@bjc.org or 314.286.0924.
